Legal Memorandum.

In a legal writing class I participated in this past year, we were given the assignment of creating a covenant not to compete. Talia Shire, the fictional employer, owner a food truck and wanted to be sure that future employees would not be able to compete with her business in the event they were terminated. Below, I wrote a memorandum using legal analysis and past reasoning of the court to determine if the covenant Shire wrote would be deemed reasonable following Texas Business and Commerce Codes. This memorandum allowed me to explore the realm of legal writing and left me with increased confidence in my ability to navigate the complexities of law.
